• Researched and compiled an extensive list of cancelled events in the first days of the Coronavirus outbreak in Melbourne, used widely by reporters

• Conducted vox pops and wrote hard news stories to be included in larger pieces

• Participated in press conferences and took thorough notes on breaking news

• Contacted talent, including media representatives, for other reporters’ stories

Seven News Melbourne | January – February 2020

• Shadowed journalists and news crews in the field on a variety of metropolitan and regional stories and created my own packages

• Interviewed public figures in press conference settings, including athletes

• Conducted vox pops for live voiceovers and interstate pick up

• Assisted the Chief of Staff when required by answering phone calls from journalists, crew and members of the public and monitored radio and social media for possible breaking news

• Wrote and presented reports on live television using an autocue

• Wrote, produced, edited and conducted interviews for hard news packages

• Collaborated with other reporters and crew both in a newsroom and remotely

• Researched and fact checked stories thoroughly

• Wrote, recorded and edited a radio package in a day to go to air that afternoon

• Hosted the show and operated the radio panel as required
